Reading is Fundamental, remember that expression. Well it was true when you heard it as a kid and its true as an adult. Being able to read effectively and efficiently can help in almost all aspects of your life. It will help you perform better and faster at work, and becoming a better reader will make your normal everyday reading more enjoyable.
Not only does reading more help you read better, but it can build on your vocabulary and your ability to grasp and understand information given to you through other avenues, such as instructions from a colleague at work. Be able to read more effectively will also help you to listen more effectively, helping you in just about everything you do.
